Overview
| Accounts description file
The Accounts description file on the Console screen is a numbered listing of all the Nominal Ledger accounts in the Chart of Accounts. The number of the account is an account code and is used to reference the account during data entry or trial balance importation and final accounts creation. The description or narrative helps to describe what the account is for. The description for most Profit & Loss accounts is used as a line narrative in the accounts. This also applies to some Balance Sheet accounts such as debtors/creditors and a few others. Attached (but hidden) to each account are other data such as the linked iXBRL tag or the TSN tag. Client customisation Moreover, Individual changes to the template can also be made at any time.( See the relevant section in the How the software handles iXBRL topic) So it is important to remember that the accounts
description template you see 'belongs' to the current client and any changes you make apply only to the current
client The changes have no affect on other client's account descriptions
or tags. |
