Overview
| The iXBRL viewer First Choice Final Accounts expertly guides users in dealing with iXBRL tags during the posting process - see How the software handles iXBRL. It also ensures that mandatory tag are present during final accounts creation - see Final accounts validation. Thus, users should not be concerned about tagging considerations if they have used the default tags or followed the guidance in selecting alternatives. However, there may be occasions when users need to see if an item in the final accounts has been properly tagged. The iXBRL viewer is an integrated module within First Choice Final Accounts which simplifies the examination and checking of iXBRL facts in a set of limited company accounts. It is available on the Create/Print screen (for Limited companies only) by selecting the Display in tag view format checkbox and clicking the create button. The accounts are produced in the normal way and are displayed in the browser. Every iXBRL tagged item in the accounts will be highlighted in green and moving the mouse over any item will display the tag name, period and dimension (if applicable). Please note that company accounts with extensive notes can take up to 1 minute to create the tag file- so please wait for the file to be loaded in the browser.
